Crab News:
- Planning for the 2009 Hairy Crab Invitational is underway.
In celebration of our 10th annual tourney, we're moving the whole kit and
caboodle to the beautiful Spring City Golf & Lake Resort in Kunming. Mark
your calendars for May 21st thru 24th in lovely Kunming. Stay tuned
to this site for travel recommendations as the tourney nears.
Hubcaps advises all that an Eagle putt is not required to join the Eagle Club, regardless of what Swampy says. Not wanting a great tradition to die, Crustaceans are henceforth encouraged to celebrate their eagles by calling or emailing Nigel Papi. - Did the calendar feel a little tight at last year's tourney ? Well, we've got a solution. This year's charity auction will be prior to the tourney at the Hairy Crab Fundraising Dinner to be held Friday evening May 15th in Shanghai (location tbd). Come buy up all the auction items so we won't have to listen to Joey during the tourney. Wives, girlfriends, ayees and house pets are welcome to come and join the bidding. Look at this as a great opportunity to help the kids by buying that little trinket for the missus that gets you the kitchen pass for Kunming. At the Crab, everyone's a winner.
- So ya wanna, be a producer just like Stew ? This year's video is entitled "Hairy Crab Idol" where everyone gets a chance to show their video wizardry, Get cracking and submit your entry (3 minutes or less duration, please) to Stew and you could be Hairy Crab Idol Champion. - New hands on deck....we've added some serious horsepower to the Crab committee. Rob Muir is back on board as co-tournament director with Stew. Sammy Mulligan kicked butt on sponsorship last year and looks forward to going further and farther with the help of Nigel Papi, Gavin Keane, Phil Davies and Rob Goble. Please notify these fine gentlemen of potential sponsor opportunities. Thanks to all our past and present committee members for making the Crab the great event it is. Congrats to Webmaster Doddsie and his long hitting partner Murray for their
victory at the Jolly Beaver in Whistler in June. A Sunday charge, posting
-8 in the alternate shot, brought the pair from 5 strokes back to earn
their maiden Jolly/Hairy tour victories. When you see Dow, ask him about
the bet he's paying off to Murray.

I've Never Had an Eagle.com is no more....and not just because of the spammers.
In August, Joey T made his first eagle ! With Alan Duffy as a
witness, Joey holed out a greenside bunker shot on #8 at Links. Not
wanting to wait another 50 years, Joey proceeded to make another eagle in September.
On a trip with S2 in Ireland, Joey holed out a 7 iron on the par 5 17th at Enniscrone. Congrats to Joey... twice !
